Controlling Epidemics Through Optimal Allocation of Test Kits and Vaccine Doses Across Networks

چکیده

Efficient testing and vaccination protocols are critical aspects of epidemic management. To study the optimal allocation limited resources in a heterogeneous contact network interacting susceptible, recovered, infected individuals, we present degree-based model for which use control-theoretic methods to derive policies. Within our framework, find that intervention policies first target high-degree nodes before shifting lower-degree time-dependent manner. Using such policies, it is possible delay outbreaks reduce incidence rates greater extent than uniform reinforcement-learning-based interventions, particularly on certain scale-free networks.

Mitigation of epidemics in contact networks through optimal contact adaptation.

This paper presents an optimal control problem formulation to minimize the total number of infection cases during the spread of susceptible-infected-recovered SIR epidemics in contact networks. In the new approach, contact weighted are reduced among nodes and a global minimum contact level is preserved in the network. In addition, the infection cost and the cost associated with the contact redu...

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Networks, epidemics and vaccination through contact tracing.

We consider a (social) network whose structure can be represented by a simple random graph having a pre-specified degree distribution. A Markovian susceptible-infectious-removed (SIR) epidemic model is defined on such a social graph. We then consider two real-time vaccination models for contact tracing during the early stages of an epidemic outbreak. The first model considers vaccination of eac...

Predicting and controlling infectious disease epidemics using temporal networks

Infectious diseases can be considered to spread over social networks of people or animals. Mainly owing to the development of data recording and analysis techniques, an increasing amount of social contact data with time stamps has been collected in the last decade. Such temporal data capture the dynamics of social networks on a timescale relevant to epidemic spreading and can potentially lead t...
